Egg White Bites
🥕 Ingrédients
- Egg Whites: Low in calories and high in protein, egg whites form the base of our bites.
- Cheddar Cheese: Provides a savoury kick and gooey texture to each bite.
- Peppers, Onion, Spinach:These colourful veggies add flavour, nutrients, and a delightful crunch.
- Salt and Pepper: Essential seasonings to enhance the overall taste of your bites.
👨🍳 Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray amuffin panwith cooking spray.
- Blend the egg whites, cottage cheese and shredded cheese until smooth.
- Heat the avocado oil in apanon medium-high and add the spinach. Sautee for 2-3 minutes until the spinach is wilted.
- Add some of the red pepper and spinach to each muffin cup, then pour the egg white mixture filling each cup 3/4 of the way full.
- Boil some water and fill abaking dishwith the boiling water. Place it on the bottom rack of the oven. (This step is optional, but will create a “sous-vide” effect to steam the egg bites.)
- Place the muffin tin on the top rack of the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown on the edges.
- Let cool then use a knife to separate the egg bites from the edges and remove from thepan.
