Apple Pie Oatmeal

🥕 Ingrédients

  • Oats: For this recipe, you can either use quick oats or rolled oats, either will work!

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. To make the cinnamon apple topping, heat thecoconut oilin a small skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the cubed apple,maple syrup, and cinnamon. Stir and cook for 2 minutes, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 8–10 minutes until tender. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. To make the oatmeal, in a small pot, add the chopped apple, almond milk, water, andmaple syrup.
  4. Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat and cook for 4–5 minutes until the apples begin to soften.
  5. Stir in the oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Reduce heat to medium and cook for another 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oatmeal reaches your desired consistency.
  6. Spoon into bowls, top with the cinnamon apple mixture, and enjoy warm.
